It is unfortunate that nearly two years into his dumpster fire of a presidency, too many articles and authors from supposedly reputable publications continue to underestimate Trump’s evil genius, dismissing it as foolish incompetence, or worse, bumbling meaninglessness.

Whether it is on his own, or even via the machinations of minds more evil than his, he has a penchant for executing the most destructive, divisive, and cruel versions of our already inadequate instruments of governance.

Donald Trump has already somehow and expertly been able to take us all through the looking glass into his world, where all the preconceptions the American mythos taught us were inherent goods are now rendered the instruments of evil they always had the capacity to be—

unions (the NBPC), women (from Betsy DeVoss to Sarah Huckabee Sanders), Christianity (rather, its antichrist Trump idolatrist version, Christianism), minorities (from Ajit Pai to Ben Carson) and immigrants (from Ling Zeng to all the other willing, token rally pawns), young people (from the alopecic White supremacist Stephen Miller to Hope Hicks), families, entrepreneurs, institutionality, democracy, and the list goes on.

In this upside-down world, right is left, down is up, violence is peace, foolishness is praiseworthy, and incompetence is genius...

And all these things must force us to look at ourselves on the other side of this dark mirror. We must stop dismissing he and his people’s diligence and resolve and accept it but as the dangerous activity of cunning madmen.
